In case you didn't play at any of our servers in the past months your client isn't fixed yet and you'll have to follow the instructions on this thread to get a working serverlist.
There are several ways to fix this:
Fix 1:
Make sure to join as player since joining as spectator won't apply the fix to your client.
TIP: Enter this command first to enable fast downloads: netspeed 5000000
For Rune Classic users(1.10, steam version)
1) Start up the game
2) Select a playerskin in the Multiplayer->Player menu, the fix will not work if you join as spectator
3) Open your console (press TAB or tide)
4) Enter the following command: relaunch rune://81.169.237.168:8200 -VERS=107
5) Wait for the game to download files and enter the server
6) Restart your game, it should work after the restart
For Rune Halls of Valhalla (1.06/1.07/1.08) users
1) Start up the game
2) Select a playerskin in the Multiplayer->Player menu, the fix will not work if you join as spectator
3) Open your console (press TAB or tide)
4) Enter the following command: open 81.169.237.168:8200
5) Wait for the game to download files and enter the server
6) Restart your game, it should work after the restart
For the original Rune (1.0/1.01) users
1) Start up the game
2) Select a playerskin in the Multiplayer->Player menu, the fix will not work if you join as spectator
3) Open your console (press TAB or tide)
4) Enter the following command: open 81.169.237.168:8200
5) Wait for the game to download files and enter the server
6) Restart your game, it should work after the restart
Fix 2:
Make sure the game isn't running while you apply these changes, save the files before opening the game.
Any version (1.06-1.07-1.08-1.09 HoV, 1.10 Steam Classic and 1.0-1.01)
1) Go to your installationfolder and find the /System folder
2) Open your Rune.ini file with a texteditor such as Notepad
3) Find (CTRL+F) each line that includes master.gamespy.com or master0.gamespy.com and replace it with master.333networks.com. By default there should be 3 lines that need to be replaced.
4) Save the file
5) Done, you can start up the game and the new masterserver should work
There are several ways to fix this:
- Install HumanHeads fix, not recommended since it sucks and overwrites all your settings
- Manually change the Rune.ini lines (UNOFFICAL FIX)
- Join one of our servers by command and restart Rune afterwards (UNOFFICAL FIX)
